Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pose an armor stand in Minecraft?

Use the Pose tab to rotate head, body, arms, and legs on each axis. You can also pick a preset pose (T-pose, sitting, waving, etc.) as a starting point and tweak from there. The /summon command in the Output tab contains the exact Rotation and Pose NBT so the stand spawns in your chosen pose.

How do I make an armor stand hold items?

Enable ShowArms in the Properties tab — vanilla armor stands don't show arms by default. Then use the Equipment panel to place items in main hand, off hand, or any armor slot. The summon command includes the ArmorItems and HandItems NBT so they spawn already equipped.

What is the Marker property for?

Marker makes the armor stand have no hitbox at all — players can't interact with it and it can't be broken by hand. Perfect for invisible decorations or display stands for floating items that players shouldn't accidentally remove.

Can I make invisible armor stands for custom furniture?

Yes. Toggle Invisible in the Properties tab and equip the armor stand with a block or item — you get a floating block effect. Combine with Small scale, Marker, NoGravity, and NoBasePlate for more control. Great for chairs, shelves, and decorative builds.

Does the armor stand command work on servers?

Yes, the /summon command is vanilla Minecraft and works on any server that allows OP commands or command blocks. Paste it into a command block, a function, or run it directly from console / chat with operator permissions.
