1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of mcworldtools.com ("the Site"), operated by MCWorldTools ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Service Description

MCWorldTools provides free, browser-based tools for editing and creating Minecraft game data, including but not limited to: world file editors, skin editors, command generators, recipe viewers, and item/block databases. The tools are provided for personal, non-commercial use.

MCWorldTools is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft Corporation, or Minecraft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios.

3. User Accounts

You may create a free account to access additional features such as saving builds, favouriting items, and syncing data across devices. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information (email address, username)
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Username Policy

When choosing a username, you must not use names that:

  • Contain offensive, hateful, or discriminatory language
  • Impersonate other users, Mojang employees, or public figures
  • Include profanity, slurs, or sexually explicit content

We reserve the right to change or remove usernames that violate this policy without notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its systems
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Site at a rate that disrupts service for other users
  • Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit the file processing tools
  • Circumvent rate limits or other technical restrictions
  • Use the Site to harass, abuse, or harm others

6. Intellectual Property

The MCWorldTools website, its design, code, and original content are the property of MCWorldTools. Minecraft textures, item names, and game data are the property of Mojang Studios and are used under fair use for the purpose of providing community tools.

Content you create using our tools (e.g. saved builds, skins, command outputs) belongs to you. By saving content to your account, you grant us a limited licence to store and serve that content back to you.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Minecraft world files you upload are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers. Account data (email, username, saves, favourites) is stored securely on our servers and can be deleted at your request.

8. File Processing & Disclaimer

MCWorldTools processes Minecraft world files locally in your browser. While we take care to ensure our tools work correctly:

  • Always back up your Minecraft world files before editing them
  • We are not responsible for corrupted or lost data resulting from the use of our tools
  • Edited files may not be compatible with all Minecraft versions or mods

9. Limitation of Liability

The Site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MCWorldTools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to your Minecraft worlds, arising from your use of the Site.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us through our contact form. Upon deletion:

  • Your profile, saved builds, and favourites will be permanently deleted
  • Your email and username will be released for reuse
  • Anonymous aggregate statistics (e.g. tool usage counts) will be retained as they contain no personal data

We will process deletion requests within 30 days in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

11. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on MCWorldTools. If you are between 13 and 16 years old, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to create an account. The Site's tools can be used without an account at any age. If we become aware that we have collected account information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that account promptly.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we may notify registered users via email.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
